Creative Director, Stage Art, and Aerial Choreographer
On May 25, 2017, Pichón Baldinu led the reopening of Teatro San Martín, located in Avenida Corrientes 1530, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
To celebrate this momentous event, a public performance was held outside the theater. The event featured a 15-meter-wide by 8-meter-deep stage and a 30-meter-long catwalk, where 300 artists showcased their talents. The performers were members of the Contemporary Ballet, the Puppeteers Group, the Contemporary Dance Workshop, as well as actors, aerial artists, musicians, and technicians.
The performance narrated the history of Teatro San Martín through five acts and a grand finale, complemented by original music played by a live band and projections. Baldinu and his team delved into the theater’s history and essence, exploring its roots and uncovering the secrets of the various worlds that inhabit its stages and workshops.
